I'm going to attempt to share everything, or at least the interesting parts. I'll tell you how I got to meet them both Saturday and Sunday! :) Also, I was lucky to get a few really good pictures of the boys.

<lj-cut text="LOTS of pictures and videos under, be warned if your computer sucks. Joe's boner invites you in, etc">Monday August 16th, Road Dog Tickets

This day really isn't that significant as far as Jonas events go, however I did go to Coney Island at 7am to pick up my Road Dog tickets for Thursday's game. The important thing that happened on this day was that I met some girls, one in particular named Brigid, who totally hooked me up all week. She's really sweet and later I met all her Jonas friends and we all became good friends.

Wednesday, August 18th Camp Rock 2 Premiere

I wasn't actually planning on attending this, but I slept in that morning and all my friends were going to Promises Promises that night so I had to go into Manhattan to get my ticket because they had already gotten theirs. So after I get my ticket I decided to go over to the Lincoln Center to check things out. The red carpet was already out and there were a bunch of girls there. I got there around 1:30 and my friend Brigid was already there, and that's where I met her friends. We chilled until about 5 when everything started happening. Camp Rock stars were pulling in but they couldn't get out yet for some reason so they had to keep circling the block, haha. Finally Jonas pulls up and we didn't really know if it was them because everyone was in the same type of car. (I kind of knew though because I saw a curly head through the tint haha) The car was sitting there for about a minute before Big Rob came out, and then Joe comes out and waves, and then Nick, Frankie, and Kevin. We were standing directly in front of where the cars pulled up so they could get out so we had a great view.

<lj-embed id="7703">

</lj-embed>

Then Demi pulls up and she came out of the car on our side so we got to shake her hand/touch her (that sounds creepy). They all look beautiful. Especially the boys, I mean they are beautiful in person. You don't even know. Ugh. They walked around the red carpet, etc etc doing press and photos. Then near the end of their press tour security finally closed the street and the boys and demi walked to the end of the line and walked all the way down shaking people's hands. See video.

Thursday, August 19th Road Dogs Game and Trump

I showed up to the Road Dogs game around 11:45 and there were already a bunch of people there. The boys were warming up on the field. I went to my seat but then immediately went to find another seat closer. I ended up sitting third row right in front of their dugout. I had a good view of everything, including Ashley Greene. I posted the video earlier this week of them with the slow mo and stuff haha, and it got put on OceanUP, lmao. That video is here, btw. The game was fun, but the boys kind of suck (shh don't tell them). I also got really badly sun burnt which has given me a horribly red chest all week. It's finally tan now, AFTER I'm done seeing the boys lol.

So after the game was over and everyone was leaving, people were waiting by their bus thinking the boys would leave on it. Me and my friends were chillin by the suburban just because, we weren't even expecting anyone to come out to it. My friends were like writing their twitter's on the back window with their fingers haha. And then all of a sudden I'm like stampeded from behind as girls are chasing KEVIN. He comes and gets in the car RIGHT in front of us. We were like WTF and then Kevin was just there being like "thanks for being here!" We were cracking up because we weren't even trying to meet them but we were right there.

Then we took the express up to Trump to try and beat them to the hotel. We ended up getting there about 20 minutes before everyone. Kevin stayed on the bus and went through the garage. But Nick came out and I weaved my way through the crowd to the front outside the barricade and I miraculously got my first ever picture with a Jonas Brother.

After Nick went in most of my friends left but we were told that they'd be coming back out around 6 or 7 so I stayed. They of course came out long after they were supposed to, but I saw them at 7:48 as they were on their way to In the Heights to see Jordin perform. They were dressed beautifully, but they didn't take pictures because they were almost late--the show starts at 8. Freaking divas. Joe was totally beautiful though, and I was at the front of the barricade (outside of it) and I was like "Joe" *he looks directly in my eyes* "Can I have a picture?" *he's still looking at me***still looking*** --at this point my thoughts go blank because JOE JONAS IS FUCKING LOOKING AT ME, OKAY?? DON'T JUDGE.

All I know is he told everyone else that they were late to In the Heights and that they didn't have time to take pictures. But Joe looked at me so who cares right? haha

Saturday August 21 - Jones Beach show #1 MEET AND GREET #1

I left my dorm at 9am to meet Brigid and a girl named Mae at Penn Station. We took a train to NJ to meet another friend named Sam because she was driving us to the show. It's pretty expensive to take a train to Long Island, plus you can't get to the amphitheater so we would have had to take a cab. We got ready and then showed up to the venue around 2:50 or so.

So here's the thing, these friends of mine bought wristbands to get into the meet and greets, and we were all so excited because it had worked for them on both Monday and Tuesday's PNC shows. So we were so excited to meet them that night because we thought it was going to work. On our way there though, we got so depressed because one of our friends that was already there and won a M&G texted us and told us that they changed it to fucking STICKERS. FML. The one time I think I'm finally going to meet them. Bitch Jonas Group. We knew it was because one of the girls who snuck in made it really obvious. Ugh.

We were literally silent after that. So disappointed. We got to the venue and tried to get Gio (sp? the security guard) because we sort-of knew him and he said he might be able to get us in. It was so annoying though because there were like 5 of us but all these girls were crowding around US like we had all these connections and could get 1032909834 people into the meet and greet. We kept trying everything we could all the way up, even until the meet and greet had started. We were standing outside the meet and greet line trying to think of something, trying to get a hold of Gio, or SOMETHING. Then Mae asks this dad if he had any extra meet and greets, and he said no. But she told him that we got scammed out of M&G's and that some of us had NEVER met them. His kids had met them before and he was SO nice. He went to check with his kids and he brought back ALL of his four meet and greets. The stickers had been pulled of their shirts.. they literally just took them off and gave them to us! Can you believe that? He was so incredible. So me and three other girls got in but a lot of our friends were sad because they couldn't get in without stickers. I was ecstatic because I had never met them before.

I was given #1 priority because of that. Like we decided that if we couldn't get enough the people who had met them less would get them. We were all so selfless (except for the girl that was previously mentioned about screwing up wristbands for us, which I will explain later) it was so great. But then, you won't believe this--after the four of us were inside for about 5 minutes we see ALL of our friends walking in with STICKERS!! We were like "how did you get in?!?!"

Turns out there's a particular company that's there that gets a bunch of m&g's for winners and sometimes not all of them pick up their prizes. The girl that worked for them wasn't allowed to approach us with them, but we were allowed to approach her and ask! Brigid had no idea the girl would have 6 extra m&g passes when she approached her. She was like "I know this is going to sound obnoxious, but one of our friends has never met them and do you have ANY extra meet and greets?" and the lady was like "actually, i've been stalking you guys and trying to get you away from security... I have 6 extra" and she gave the passes to them!

We were SO amazed that none of us won a m&g, none of us had connections, yet we ALL got in. Srsly incredible. All I have to say to you guys is DON'T GIVE UP. Keep trying. Ask parents if you can watch their kids while they go in and take their m&g pass. DON'T BE AFRAID, YOU CAN GET IN if you try hard enough! :)

After the meet and greet we all went to our seats. Most of us snuck into Orchestra H and somehow, we got like a whole empty row and got to sit together even though none of the seats were ours. The concert was pretty fun, and we weren't even that far away but it was NOTHING compared to Sunday night which I'll tell you about later. I took pictures but they all suck because we were farther away.

After the show we left and went to stay the night at a friends house. We also found out from a friend that ticketmaster was releasing front row seats, so two of my friends bought 2nd row right in front of Nick and we knew that we would all be able to get up there the next night. It was pretty exciting!

Sunday August 22, Jones Beach show #2 and Meet and Greet #2

Sunday morning it was raining, and we were like shiiiit. We bought ponchos and brought a shit ton of umbrellas to be prepared. We got to the venue around 4:30 but it was FREEZING and raining. One of our friends won soundcheck so she went in, and the rest of us waited. We went to talk to the lady who gave us the meet and greets the first day because she said she'd probably have extra the next day too. She said she didn't know if she'd have any but we didn't give up hope.

The day before one of the girls who got into the meet and greet with us exchanged numbers with the woman who got us the meet and greets. I knew in my heart that this chick was going to screw us over. Because SHE was the one with the "contact" so SHE was the one who was ultimately going to get the passes, even if there were a few and not enough for all of us. This is the chick that basically begged my friends for wristbands the first two days and ruined it for the rest of us. She got in both of those days, plus met them saturday and sunday.

So basically it was 7pm and the meet and greet was starting and we were told it was going to be over by 7:30 and we were like shiiiit. The woman was lying to us and telling us she didn't have passes, but really she had already arranged to give all of them to the girl. She went to "the bathroom" and we saw the lady walk out and walk back in and we were like, holy shit did she just give her the passes? Are you serious? So she came back and was like "okay I lied to you guys, I didn't go to the bathroom, she gave me five passes." She took one for herself and her friend. And was all like "i'm so torn, i don't know who to give them to"

She took one for herself and her friend even though there were some of us who hadn't met them at all or had only met them once and acted like she couldn't give up her own. In the end she gave one to our friend Sarah who had never met them and kept being screwed over, so she could finally meet them. Then she gave one to Sam, who had met them like 10 times already and she amazingly gave it to me. She's seriously the best. And girls picked numbers over the last one.

I was excited to meet them again, but it was soooo rainy and windy I looked terrible. This picture is def. photoshopped guys haha. I also kept forgetting to actually TALK to them when I met them. I wanted to say so many things to them but it felt so rushed and idk it was awkward. But I hugged all of them both days and it they are so amazing, adorable, etc etc. They are SO petite. God Joe. He's perfect. When I would leave he rubbed my back and was like "thankks" .. honestly I can't ever remember what happens. My mind goes blank when I'm with them.. it's frustrating haha.

the actual concert----

Was freaking amazing. It was raining but we were all in the first and second row where it's covered by the stage so we didn't get wet. We were dancing and singing and Joe looked at all of us and sang to us and pointed, etc etc. During "Introducing Me" Nick was so surprised, he stopped singing because he could hear that all of us were singing it to him and he let us sing for him. I have a video of it here:

<lj-embed id="7704">

</lj-embed>

It was so fun. Papa Jonas was right there and he was smiling and laughing and us and he took a video of us. We saw him at Trump the next day and he recognized us. He told us it was the best concert ever.

Because it was raining, the show felt really special. ESPECIALLY during Please Be Mine. When they started singing "can't stop the rain from falling" it just made my night. OH and BTW, JOE IS SEX GOD. He was wearing a sleeveless hoody, and his arms were soaking wet from the rain gahhhhhh. Overall the show was amazing. It was probably the best concert of my life. I was literally, right against the barricade on the front row directly in front of Nick. And I paid $10 for my ticket.

All the rain flooded the highways though so traffic was at a standstill it was horrible. It took us three hours to get home when it should have taken us 45 minutes.

I'm so tired of writing guys lol. It was fun, blah blah. It was raining and the guys literally suck. They got slaughtered. But they still looked good, right? Haha. So I'm just going to post pictures, some of them are good, and I have a few of Kevin looking like a ballerina. I honestly don't know how he got a woman to marry him, srsly. OH AND JOE HAD A MAJOR BONER THE ENTIRE TIME, THANKS ASHLEY GREENE.

OH, and we went to trump immediately after the game and missed them by literally THREE MINUTES. FML. We ran up as papa jonas was going in and we were like "did they already go in" and they were like "yea, like three minutes ago." And then I waited until 11:20 last night and nothing. Some chick on OceanUP said she met them last night at 11:25 but that's a total lie. My friend was there at that time and they never came out. She must have meant Saturday night or something..idk.

<img border="0" alt="" So we didn't get in there till 9:00 PM. (It ended up working out because the people before us weren't finished yet. Also, I had origninally only signed up for time until 11:30, but thank goodness that person never showed up, we didn't get finished until 1:30.)

Then, it took until 10:45 to FINALLY get everything working right so we could lay down ONE track (guitar).

The thing with consoles, is ONE button could be pressed/depressed and it's messing up your entire project. You have to make sure the mic is input into the right channel, and that it's ready to record by patching it to a separate channel on the digital recorder. Then you want to monitor the sound from the mic, so you have to patch that in, and if you want the musician to hear what's playing (or what they're playing) you need to set up a cue mix. Making sure every track is recorded, mixed, and monitored is a trying task when there's 19283908301983 buttons on the console, and you don't know exactly what all of them do, or why something isn't working. Now that I've spent 5 hours of my life working on it, however, I feel confident enough to say I could *possibly* do it again. :) By the end I was fixing problems and stuff on my own, and it felt good. Thank the Lord for that staff engineer for helping though.

Here are some pictures, and a link to where you can hear what we did tonight.

The Console (just 16 tracks, but they're tracks from hell. I've edited to include the concerts I did attend.

Key:

1 heart = Want to Go

2 heart = Might Go

3 heart = Definitely Going

<3

<strike>Winter Jam Tour with Mercy Me, Skillet, Barlow Girl, New Song, Group 1 Crew, and PureNRG. --I'm going on a Leaders' Club social in Birmingham this day anyways, so Ashleigh and I are just going to chill the rest of the day since we'll already be up there, the cost is $10 at the door. Amazing! :]</strike>--- did not attend.

February 23rd:

<333

Eleventyseven at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Buford Georgia. Quite a drive for me, but its on a Saturday! Looks like its only Eleventyseven playing, but if this is the only time they'll be even in my range, then I'm going to go. Plus, I'll get to meet up with Sara again, and possibly Ashlea and the Alfonsos. It depends on my parents.. I've asked them about 3 times, and each time they just remained silent.. I'm guessing their still thinking. A 3.5 hour drive alone is quite a lot. --I definitely went! It was awesome!

June 11-14th:

<3

<strike>Ichthus Festival. I probably would only go for one day, that day being the day Eleventyseven is at Ichthus. Because if all goes well, I'll already be up in Nashville for my freshmen orientation at Belmont, and when its over, I might try convincing my dad to let us go up there and see them before we go all the way back down to Alabama. So I don't know which day I'll be going to just yet. ---Did not go.</strike>

June 21, 2008

<333

I had just finished a week of spiritual rejuvenation and got to end it with a day with my friends from Eleventyseven. The show was in Opelika, AL at a football stadium. It was a free event that had entertainment all day, a sort of festival. Eleventyseven was awesome. The End.

June 30:

<3

<strike>Cornerstone Festival. Ahh.. the infamous cornerstone festival. Not sure about that this year. After last year's fiasco. I'm probably too busy this summer to go, but that doesn't deter my hopes.</strike> --Nope.

August 20th, 2008

Jonas Brothers in Atlanta, Georgia at the Lakewood Amphitheater! This was my biggest concert to date. Strangely enough, however, I payed more for the December Relient K show through fees and stuff than I did for this one. But I also had Lawn Seats, lol. I'm quite mad about the Jonas Brothers as of recently, because the Ryman announced their show the day they were putting the tickets on sale, so only the people who checked all the time found out about the show on Jan. 4th, o well. The show in August was uhhmazing!

<strike>October 5th-7th: </strike>

<strike><33</strike>

<strike>There will be a Freedom Experience in Decatur, Alabama. This is currently 3.5 hours away from where I live. But, next October I will be living in Nashville, only 1-2 hours away from Decatur. Assuming that Eleventyseven is playing Freedom experience next fall, I'll probably try to make it out to one or two of the days. Not just for E7, but Group 1 Crew and Brock Gill also. Because they're all so amazing, and I hear Brock has some new tricks. :] FX is free so yea. Thats all I've seen so far, but rest assured, there will be plenty more as the year progresses. </strike>

October 12:

<333>
Eleventyseven and Wavorly in Chattanooga, TN. This show was .. interesting. I drove 2 hours to see my friends in 11ty7. When I got there we hung around and then went to Panera. I had to pay to get into the show, because there were more people on the guest list than there were people paying to see the show. Its okay though, because Caleb payed for my dinner to make up for it. It was kind of sad that only like.. 4 people came out to see the show. Which just shows what a crappy job the promoters did, but w/e. Eleventyseven's set was awesome as usual, and the guys in the first local band came out and danced around so it was fun. Wavorly was reallly good music-wise, though there were less people there for their set even though they were headlining.

October 17th, 2008

<333

MSTRKRFT. They are a group that mixes music together and its basically one giant rave party. Yep.

December 5th:

<333

This, is an amazing story.

I already wrote a blog about it on this account, but nevertheless. This was the day I saw Tobymac, Family Force 5, and B Reith, but most importantly, Relient K-- for only my second time. Relient K blows me away every time. I love them. It was at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN.

Besides those listed above, I have also been to a bunch of local Nashville shows. Mostly consisting of indie or Belmont Bands. I've also met Brad Paisley and Josh Turner, and saw Trisha Yearwood and Josh Turner do a couple songs at Belmont. But, I'm not a huge fan of country so it wasn't as exciting. Some awesome Belmont bands you should check out are: Heck Yes!, Kopecky Family Band, The Only Good Thing About the Forties, and Have You Heard.

List of Bands I Have Seen:

Relient K x 2

Jonas Brothers!

Superchick

Family Force 5 x 2

Stellar Kart x 2

Seventh Day Slumber

Thousand Foot Krutch

Toby Mac x 2

Krystal Meyers

DecembeRadio x 2

Nevertheless

Group 1 Crew x 5

Mercy Me

Audio Adrenaline

Aarron Shust

Sanctus Real

Skillet

KJ-52

Rush of Fools

Building 429

Mandisa

MSTRKRFT

Wavorly

B Reith

Heck Yes!

The Only Good Thing about the Forties

Have You Heard

List of Band to See:

Coldplay

Switchfoot

Anberlin

Flatfoot 56

The MAINE

All Time Low

Iron and Wine

Fireflight

Lifehouse

We the Kings

Death Cab for Cutie

MGMT

Girl Talk

Kings of Leon

Taylor Swift

One Republic

Vampire Weekend

I learned something this semester...

In our Analytics Science Models class, we studied consciousness all semester. We just finished a chapter about sleep and dreams. It dispelled all the mistaken beliefs about dreaming and sleeping:

1) We do not sleep to rest — The brain doesn’t need rest because our brains are active even while we sleep. Our body doesn’t need restoration either because you sleep whether you spent the day running, or whether you spent the day sitting on the couch watching TV. People with no limbs who use no energy sleep too.

2) The claim that people never dream or go without dreaming for long periods of time —it is all a matter of timing, and we only recall our dreams if we wake during the Rapid Eye Movement stage (REM). We lose about 95% of all our dreams.

3) We are not in a coma when we sleep, we just don’t have the ability to interact with our environment, but we can still process some information. It’s because of this that sometimes we incorporate reality into our dreams. Like having to go to the bathroom really bad, or hearing a noise similar to your alarm clock.

4) Sleepwalking is not the acting out of dreams— dreams occur during our REM state, in which all our muscles are paralyzed. Sleepwalking occurs in stage four, and it is not dangerous to wake sleepwalkers up, it’s just difficult and they’ll just be really confused.

5) Sleep talking does not report the content of dreams — some sleep talkers can respond to limited input. But we can’t learn Spanish using audio-tapes, cortical activity during slow-wave sleep is too diminished for that. Darn. lol
haha, I guess Stephenie Meyer should check her facts before she goes writing about girls talking in their sleep.

Other random facts:

1) It is possible to predict dream motion by looking at the fMRI scan of the motor cortex of a person. If someone is walking in their dream, the neurons that fire for real-life leg and torso movement are activated. This sheds light on the common dream theme of the inability to move, as, for instance, the powerlessness to run away from a threat or trying to scream but producing no sound. haha, I've had that dream many times.

2)Studies show that those who study material and then take a one hour nap before the test do significantly better than those who studied and did not sleep. Part of why we sleep is so our brains can compress data and store memories. Facts and information store more efficiently when you sleep more!

Hurray for sleep!

Anyways, I hope this was as interesting for you to read as it was for me to learn.

Warning: Venting session

UGH.

This Research and Rhetoric final paper is kicking my butt.

I still have 1,000 more words to write, and that's after I used half of my Music Business research paper to fill up the other 1,500 words. Just the draft is due tomorrow, but it has to be complete nevertheless. Also, I have a research report for my Analytics class that's due in its entirety tomorrow. Other than that I'm okay.. for NOW.

I have two finals on thursday, which is stressing me out. And then friday that 8 page I mentioned a second ago is due with a bunch of other stuff and also a presentation on my findings. Then, somehow, I have to have a completed art project turned in on Monday morning.. because I've definitely started that, and have SO much time to work on that. < /bitter sarcasm>

Then Tuesday I have my final in Analytics.. so I have to do the bajillions of vocab words and essays for that class as well. *sigh* I'm about to cry from all this work.

I hate finals week.

I wish this paper was done. Don't worry, you won't have to get used to it. haha.

So back in August, I found out that Relient K would be in town for the Winter Wonder Slam tour with Toby Mac, Family Force Five, and B Reith. Obviously I wasn't going to miss Relient K when they were five minutes away. In August, I still had a bunch of money in my account from my summer earnings, so I didn't feel as bad buying the $35 tickets. Of course, it's never the asking price with ticketmaster, so two tickets actually cost $90. UGH. I didn't have anyone to go with when I bought them in August--I figured I'd just find someone to go, which I did, thankfully. :)

Allow me to explain the purchasing process, a backstory of sorts that will come into play later in my story. So the tickets were obviously expensive, an issue I had gotten over at the time. It was Relient K, who cares about how much? When I purchased the tickets, I made sure that I was getting the VERY BEST seats, or rather the general admissions area directly in front of the stage. The ticketmaster page for this event had all the prices and areas listed (as is normal), the most expensive one was $35. It said "Main Floor". Then, below that was: "Note: The Main floor will have a General Admissions area." Okay, so maybe it was just stupidity on my part, or maybe the ticketmaster and sommet center people are just really really unclear about their ticket stuff. I was under the impression that my ticket, the most expensive one, the one that said it was the main floor, was general admissions. I genuinely thought that the whole main floor would be general admissions. When I got to the venue, this was not the case.

We arrived at 5:15. Traffic downtown was CRAZY. For some reason, the Christmas Parade decided to be on the same day as a Toby Mac concert... anyways, we finally reached the center (after taking the scenic route due to all the road closings) and parked in a cheap $5 lot near the back. We walked down the street eager to both get out of the cold and see the show. Since we parked near the back, we had to walk around to gain entry. As we were walking along the street, freezing because I didn't want to lug my jacket around at the show, we came across these HUGE vents in the side of the Sommet Center. Cristina and I were walking and we both stopped at the same time and sighed. Haha, it was like a GIANT heater on the street! It felt so good. :) I said, "Ohh, that feels soo nice. I bet it's like toxic chemicals and we're like inhaling them but still." So if I ever was so unfortunate that I became homeless, I know where I'd sleep on a cold night. < /random>

So we finally got inside the center at 5:30. After using the facilities, we pretty much just slid in the front of where everyone was waiting to file in. Doors opened at 6 and we were so excited! We were going to be in the very front!! YAY! So we like pretty much ran to where we thought we were going. I went straight to the general admissions section and showed him my tickets and he said, "sorry, you have to have a wristband to get in here." "what??.. where do you get a wristband?" "you were supposed to get one when you scanned your ticket."

How did we miss that?? UGH. So we like ran back up to the ticket booth and asked a security guard if we could get wristbands, or how we could get wristbands. At this point, I had realized how stupid I had been, my tickets didn't say "GA" on them, they said "Sec 3 Row 24 Seat 13".

Apparently, the wristbands were given to FAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. They paid the same price, but just because they were in the fan club, they got to be in the very very front. I made my argument with the ticket booth people, the security guard was confused as I told him I was under the impression that I purchased General Admission tickets. The ticket booth lady was also confused as she was instructed to check my name and tickets. Obviously not many people came along claiming they had received the wrong tickets. I don't know why, but she stamped an "OK" on both the tickets, and then the guy in charge talked to me and basically said "No I'm sorry, these are your seats, you have to sit here." Section 3, Row 24, Seat 13.

I was defeated. We returned to the arena to find our actual seats. So, do you see the tiny little red dot at the back of section 3? Yes, that would be where my seat was. The VERY BACK row! Ridiculous, and I wasn't having it. I didn't pay $90 for that BS. I decided I would try telling the security guard that the "ok" stamp on our tickets meant that the lady at the ticket booth meant we could get into the GA section. Ha. I acted very confused and upset (though the latter wasn't acting), and explained my situation. After 5 minutes of pleading, he felt bad, but still had to do his job. He called in the guy on the radio and asked about it, and a couple minutes later he said that the "ok" was just so I could get back in the venue, not into the GA section. [A fact I already knew] It was worth a shot right? I complained about how there was like nobody in the GA section. "So are you saying that if it is empty like this, you still won't let people come into the area?" blah blah blah. He said "I'm really sorry, I wish I could help but that's not my job, if you really want to see if something can be done, try guest services or the ticket booth again." Hmph.

At this point I was still very upset. We walked back to our pitiful seats and stood there for a little while. I complained, yes very annoying. I know it's bad, but I was upset. Would you be if you seriously thought you'd be two feet from the stage, but ended up being behind a bunch of tall people (i'm very short) in the very back. Almost a hundred dollars for that?? NO, I wasn't going to have it.

Cristina wanted a drink so we went back up to the foyer or whatever. Consequently that's where guest services is, and I couldn't resist, I was NOT going to sit in those seats. There was this little old lady working behind the desk and I explained my situation to her. I think she felt I was being hostile but I think I also made it clear that I was upset and just really disappointed. I felt tricked, and fooled out of my money. After pleading with her for a while, and asking a bunch of questions including "how much were the GA tickets" ect. ect. [I think I said this already, but yea, they were the SAME price]. Finally she called the guy I had already spoken to at the ticket booth back to where I was to speak to me. I apologized for making such a big deal but explained I felt very upset. He said that there were only so many GA tickets given out, 250 to be exact, and they were "already at Fire Marshall limit". Also, there was something about them getting a few wristbands back the other day, but they sold them or something. After another long argument with him, he offered to switch our tickets with some better seats. Imagine a red dot near the stage side of section 106. Well, it wasn't the stage, but it was a heck of a lot closer, and elevated so I'd be able to see. *sigh* "Okay" I resigned. But before we accepted the tickets, we asked to go check out the seats so we could be sure. When we did find the seats, they were SO much better, so we decided that it was better than nothing. We went back up to guest services.

This part was confusing and a rush and.. just weirdness. We got back in there expecting to exchange our tickets with the new, still mediocre seats. We walked in as the little old lady was on her walkie talkie, and here's what she said, "I know, but we just had two girls leave the general admissions area and we have these two girls here that just really want to be in there, can you bring over two wristbands?"

aslfkjwef;oawejaofja;oweifjae;foiajwef.

Either they were holding out on us, and they actually did have some extras that they didn't sell. Or two people just coincidentally LEFT the GA section, RIGHT as we wanted to be in it... Oh well, either way, we EFFING GOT WRISTBANDS. And they were SO nice about it! I gave her my sincerest thank you ever, and I really meant it. She was like "I know baby I know you were so upset, and I would be too." And then this security lady asked what happened and I told her and added, "and I'm so short, I was seated in the very back too, I just wouldn't be able to see anything and I paid so much.." and she was like "yea, you're so right... that wouldn't be good. well, see now, it never hurts to just ask!" Then this big guy in a suit comes in smiling and holds up the wristbands, and we put them on and exchange our tickets for GA.

Wow, mission accomplished.. really? Sheesh, I was definitely not expecting to actually get what I wanted. But I'm not complaining!

We got to the general admissions section and were let in with glee. We had to stand in like the 2nd/3rd row near stage left but it was SO much better than what my other option was. And I am so grateful for that lady. I'm very glad I wasn't a pushover tonight.

Wow that's a lot and I haven't even talked about the actual show...

I'll leave it short, I just wanted to tell you my incredible luck. God was smiling upon us tonight.

So, B Reith was pretty neat, he was like a rapper. And Family Force Five came out in tight pleather pants and badass leather jackets with zippers and popped collars and bamf haircuts and effing ROCKED it. They rock so hard. If you've never seen Family Force Five, DO IT. They are so good live, so full of energy and you'll probably end up dancing/hardcore moshing the whole time. Simply awesome.

And then.... RELIENT K. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

phew.

Okay so I've seen relient K before, once. And since we got there late, I was on the second level, far far away from dear Matthew. Tonight, I was literally 7 feet from him. I literally swoon over this man. He is so incredibly talented. A wonderful singer, he plays piano, guitar, drums, sax and a laundry list of others. He also writes like ALL their songs, and is the most inspiring Christian I know. He's also incredibly cute in a nerdy way. Plus, their music is so darn good and Relient K is my all-time favorite band. Their music is fun and energetic and also slow and awesome and the lyrics are always so deep. (except for sadie..) Anyways, Relient K was amazing and i love love love them so so much. :)))))

Toby Mac was his usual awesome self. Great show, great dancing, great lights, great music. I wish I could spend more time elaborating the details. I can tell you that I touched his butt? haha, he crowd surfed.. the first time we dropped him but the second time was really good. I got to hold him up, it was pretty neat. It was so nice being that close. Ugh, I can't believe how lucky I was! :D

Oh, and Matthew Thiessen definitely made eye contact with me like 8 times. Yea, he pretty much sang to me. haha. (not...but really)

I felt like Toby Mac looked at me too. I hate having to wear glasses at concerts, even as close as I was, I still needed them.

So overall, it was an amazing night.

We stayed after for a really long time hoping to run into Relient K, but instead we just got autographs from FF5, and stayed even longer to obtain a picture with them. One of these days I shall meet Matty T and he shall fall in love with me. (or not, either way, I'm meeting him.)

Ask me details if you want them, I'll try and post a video log later with all the videos I took, there are some awesome moments in them.

Thank you for reading this, whoever you are.

I love you, no matter what.

Kyara

In an attempt to procrastinate

(It's longer than I expected... sorry! Congrats if make it through. :))

I'm currently writing a blog.
I don't know what I'll say.

Possibly, I'll discuss my life.

So let's see.

hm..

This week has been weird. I feel like a zombie.

I was very confused and upset and disoriented.

Sunday night, after returning from the movie Twilight, I received a devastating phone call. Suffice it to say from that point on, my week was a blur. A mass of depression, confusion, guilt and many other emotions. Schoolwork didn't even matter to me anymore.. or maybe I was just more ahead than I thought I was, because it didn't seem like I did any homework.

So don't shoot me, but I'm currently reading the Twilight series. I know, I know. Pop culture, ugh. right? Well, since I enjoyed the movie quite a bit (it had nothing the super attractive starring actor..< /sarcasm>) I decided to check out the book. I bought it on Black Friday and finished it Sunday morning. I was back at Belmont that night, and it seems like it had been forever, (especially after the long night/day I had after that phone call) but I bought the sequel New Moon on Monday evening. I was on about chapter five, reading here and there. But yesterday, I spent about from 5 to 10 reading the book, and sadly enough, finished it. Yes, I read 500 pages in 5 hours. (Is that slow? =\) Anyways, I can't stop thinking about the characters and the story. It has taken over my thoughts. Which is okay I guess... since I'd rather not be thinking about other things.

So what's my opinion on Twilight (though you're probably already tired of my talking of it, since you're probably one of those cool kids who don't fall for fads right? haha)? Well, first and foremost, DO NOT COMPARE IT TO HARRY POTTER. J.K. Rowling is simply genius, and no story compares to Harry's. Besides, Twilight is a LOVE story. How can that even be put in the same category? Just because an explosion of tweens like to read about a sexy vampire, doesn't make Stephenie Meyer "the next J.K. Rowling." PFFT. The HP series has a thick, well developed plot line that is so remarkably integrated.. it's a mystery unfolding before you. Seriously, go back and read the earlier books after finishing them all, and you'll notice little clues and hints you never took into consideration before. But anyways, enough about my beloved Harry.

No doubt, Meyer has a way of portraying real emotion, and grasping the concept of true (for lack of a better term) love--no matter how obsessive or stalkerish it may seem. How I dream of one day having someone by my side that never ceases to excite me every time I see him, or even hear his name. Someone who knows me inside out and loves me deeply despite my flaws. I think there's the attraction for me. Bella and Edward are made for each other, and it causes them physical pain to be apart... imagine how hard that must be for them. I enjoy watching, or rather reading, about how through it all, they still have so much passion. Meyer's strength is her ability to make you feel the emotions of the character. The reading is easy as well, because after all, the story is the thoughts of a 17 year old girl.. how intelligent could Bella's writing be? (I hope this is her excuse) Plus, you have to count in the danger factor...it's simply thrilling. I mean, at any moment Edward could just kill Bella, crush her with his hands, break her in half. But he cares so much for her (and this is part of why I like it so much) that he conquers his instincts and is SO careful, and so delicate for her. He is struggling all the time to be with this girl.

Okay, so onto the actual writing of the book. One word: UGH. This is another reason I get quite angry when people say that she's the "next J.K. Rowling." At least Jo has a massive vocabulary and well, frankly, knows how to flipping write. Sure she [Meyer] has a way of conveying emotions, but her style is elementary and uncreative. (That's not to say that the plot-line isn't) I'm sure anyone who's read twilight has noticed her excessive use of the word "chagrin." So the first time I saw it used I said, "Oh, that's cool, she knows the word 'chagrin' haha, she has vocabulary.." By the 45th time I saw the word, I was grunting, "UGH, stop using the word! Especially improperly like that!" If you read carefully, you can pick out where she used a thesaurus, no joke.

The other day in my writing class, my teacher goes "throw out your thesauruses!!" and I muttered under my breath, "Stephenie Meyer should throw away her thesaurus." Haha, he definitely heard me, and said aloud "Stephenie Meyer should be forbidden to use another adverb, EVER again." And then he proceeded to go on a rant about how using adverbs shows weakness in writing, because there's mostly likely a word that describes it better.

Example:

(with adverb)

run quickly

(without adverb)

sprinted

raced

bolt

gallop

fly

hurtle

speed

etc.

See the difference...look how many wonderful words to choose from. Once my professor pointed this out, I began to look for it in her writing, he was absolutely right. You don't need fancy words to describe something. Usually using simple words and a longer description makes it easier to imagine, more vivid. Wow, this procrastinating thing is really working. I've written a lot. Why don't words come this easily when I'm writing term papers? hmph.

In conclusion, Stephenie Meyer sucks--at writing--but rules at making you addicted to a love story. I was itching for the next book immediately after I finished New Moon. (Mostly so I can see the characters I know and love come to a place where it's happy and good and I know everything will be wonderful forever, that's all I'm asking. haha.)

Sooo.. finals are next week. I'd totally forgotten about that kind of stuff.. you know.. having to study for more than ONE test at a time. I was always exempt in High School. I'm stressing out, but have been reading in an attempt to alleviate the stress and occupy my mind. Though, reading New Moon didn't really help at all.. it made me depressed a lot of the times. As if I had a hole in my heart just like Bella.. one of the talents that I must admit Stephenie Meyer has. She described pain really well. I could literally feel the pain that Bella was feeling, and it wasn't good. It also didn't help that I was already in a delicate state considering the events on Sunday night. I think that's why I finished it so quickly, I wanted a resolution, I didn't want to be sad because Bella was still sad where I was in the story.

I get really into books.

*sigh*

I apologize for the length of this.. I would write more, but homework calls.

I love you, no matter what.

Kyara

Life...

What can I say about Life..

Its an amazing gift. Its something taken for granted every second...

I take so many things for granted.

I'm so confused.

What do I do?

Is it selfish?
